Windows or IOS for my PC?

This question has a lot of technical aspects to it, but for the purposes of work equipment, it can easily boiled down to one question: Do you have an iPhone or an Android?

If you have an iPhone, stay in Apple’s ecosystem.
This will be more expensive, and you’ll have less software options compared to android/windows users. However, messaging your clients on an iPhone from a Windows PC is clunky, and you won’t have read receipts or message history. If you’re willing to buy a dedicated android work phone ($80 plus $15/mo for a T-Mobile plan) you can work with Windows, but otherwise stick with Apple’s ecosystem and avoid the headache.

Laptops vs Desktops

Get a Mini PC. They’re cheaper, have fewer software/hardware issues, and come with better components.

Laptops are mobile, and if you’re in this career long enough, you’ll want one so you can close while you’re not at the office. This isn’t a problem you’ll face early on, as this becomes more of an issue as you get a lot of referrals, at which point you won’t worry about spending a few hundred dollars on a laptop.

In my opinion, you should buy a Mini PC and keep whatever laptop you originally used when you started. You can get a really good Mini PC for around $160, while getting anything close to a “decent” laptop will run you $350 minimum.
